Sponsor a Student

Highlands College draws students from all over the nation. These students have a rigorous schedule and are being challenged in every area of their lives. Remember the first time you were away from home or at a time in your life when you were really being stretched. You know how meaningful it was when someone just did something special for you to show that you were not alone.

There are several different ways that you can show that kind of support for a Highlands College student. If you choose to get involved, you will experience the fulfillment of knowing that you’ve impacted a student’s life.

There Are 4 Ways To Get Involved

  1. Give toward the Leadership Scholarship Fund on the Contribution Page. Highlands College staff will distribute scholarships from this fund to deserving students.

  2. Host a student in your home for a semester. Check out our Host a Student page.

  3. Provide groceries or food for students. Some students room together in a home without a sponsor family. The students love the community feel but also don’t have “Dad” there to grill a steak. We will have people bring groceries and stock the refrigerator and pantry or we will have people bring over a big pot of soup for the students to make meals from for a week. If you are interested in providing groceries or food, email hayes@churchofthehighlands.com

  4. Random Act of Kindness - You can support Highlands College students and be creative and have fun at the same time. From a bag of candy with an encouraging note to a tank a gas for their vehicle, sometimes just a small little gesture like this will be just what a student needs to keep pushing forward and be reminded they have people around them who love them, support them, and believe in them. If you would like more information about this email hayes@churchofthehighlands.com.
