MARK PETTUS 
Vice Chancellor
Mark joined the Highlands team in 2006 after playing Division I football at and graduating from the University of Alabama Birmingham. He has a passion to see young people realize that their faith is not meant to be idle, hidden, or contained but instead lived out in motion in Christ. Mark now leads Highlands College, the ministry leadership school of Church of the Highlands, as well as the Student Ministries department. He and his wife, Jill, have two boys, Landon and Judah.

BRIELLE HOFFMAN
Leadership Director
Brielle joined the Highlands team in 2010, after graduating from three years of ministry school at Church of the Highlands. She has a heart and passion for training and developing leaders to change the world. She strongly believes that God has placed a mandate of leadership on everyone’s life and is honored to play a part in students’ discovery of their leadership gifts. She loves what God has called her to do and she is very excited for what God has in store for the future of Highlands College!

SHERRILL LARSON
Academic Dean
Sherrill Larson is the Academic Dean for Highlands College and brings a background of education from the King’s University in California where she graduated with a Masters of Divinity Degree with Honors and was named the outstanding student of her class. Her goal is to enable her students to know the Bible and have a solid Christian worldview so they can go into the world to fulfill the Great Commission. Sherrill and her husband Gary have been married for almost 43 years. Together they have four incredible married adult children and six awesome and beautiful grandchildren. Sherrill’s hobbies are spending time with her husband and family, gardening, sewing, making wonderful homemade pizza from scratch, and traveling with her husband on mission trips.

HAYES KEARBEY
Supervised Ministry Director
Hayes is the Director of Ministry Training of Highlands College. Hayes and his wife Brooke have been pastoring college students for five years through the ministry school at Church of the Highlands. They married in 2006 and shortly thereafter, Hayes joined the Church of Highlands Staff. He has a relentless drive to see students embrace the ministry call on their lives and see them operate in the gifts God has placed inside them. Hayes and Brooke have a little boy, Cohen, who was born in August 2009.

KEITH LINDSEY
Discipleship Director and Dean of Students
As Dean of Students and Director of Discipleship of Highlands College, Keith Lindsey is passionate about equipping men and women for effective leadership and ministry. He and his wife Debbie have two married sons. Keith holds an A.B. Degree from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, and a Masters of Divinity Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

GINA COX
Instructor
Gina is an Instructor at Highlands College. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Computer Science & Communications and a graduate of the University of Virginia Law School. After moving to Birmingham with her husband, Buddy, she practiced Utility Regulatory law until retiring to raise her three children. She also served on Church of the Highlands staff as Human Resource Director. Gina believes that students should be excellent in all that they do and invests time in students through teaching and mentoring to lead them into living a life of excellence.

AMY KOZLEK
Administrative Assistant
Amy Kozlek is the Highlands College Administrative Assistant. She and her husband, Kevin, relocated here from Baltimore, Maryland in 2004. Amy and Kevin are college sweethearts, who have been married for 17 years. They have 3 children: Jack, Sarah and Ryan. Amy brings over 11 years of experience in administration. Amy and her family joined the Church of the Highlands over a year ago. Her passion is to help others who are going after God and His plan for them. Amy feels truly blessed to be part of the Highlands College Family!
